Each cup has a different pattern: lines, waves, rings, and dots. But the smooth black surface gives the raised patterns a nice feel. The rougher brown area near the base of the cup, however, gives the cups a contrast in texture.

The design of the cups is from Masahiro Mori who was a well-known ceramic designer. He was recognized for his innovative designs and was dedicated on producing functional tableware.
